Gender-Inclusive Plastic Recycling
A recycling and sustainability project training female students and teachers in plastic upcycling skills for income generation.
This project trained teachers and students at Government Secondary School Wuse Zone 3 in practical plastic upcycling and recycling, including a hands-on excursion to a recycling plant and the donation of plastic collection bins to sustain the practice. The initiative was paired with radio and TV appearances to raise public awareness of plastic pollution through a gender-inclusive lens. Project Lead: Ifechi Anikwe.
